the black hole that is our diaper bag

Well, now we know where all the pacifiers went.

For such a little person, Clay requires a lot of equipment. A simple trip to the grocery store calls for an arsenal of diapers, bottles, snacks, toys, blankets, extra outfits – just in case.

Enter the diaper bag. Built with 500+ pockets (maybe a slight exaggeration) this thing is ready for anything and everything life throws at it, or rather in it. It’s a lifesaver (and it's cute to boot). But put a phone in it. Or keys. Or, God-forbid, pacis. And at that one exact moment you need them, they will be sure to disappear. In a recent and desperate attempt to find my cell, I turned the bag upside down to unearth its contents. And, lo and behold, discovered an entire collection of things we had sworn were lost. This is either the greatest or worst invention in the world. Or both.

Note From Scott: We should have a sister blog titled, Things We Thought We Lost.

pacifiers disappear at an alarming rate

*Scott was out of town last week and is catching up by taking Monday's post. Eleanor will be back on Friday!

Our house is haunted. A poltergeist occupies the entire square footage (from the nursery to the garage), stealing every single one of our pacifiers and then hiding them in between seats, and under chairs, and in the pockets of coats I swear I never even used. Because there simply can be no other explanation for why - despite our ownership of a billion + Nuks - I can't find even one of those things when I need it.

Note From Eleanor: While we're at it, lets also blame the poltergeist for why I can never find my keys or a matching pair of socks in this house.
