Today is my 25th birthday and my first as a
mother. Which is a little ironic, as I always thought this would be the year
we’d finally get around to talking about having a baby. We were going to do
some traveling in the meantime, maybe purchase a new TV, Scott would have taken
a promotion, and we definitely wouldn’t still be living in Omaha.
But one year ago tomorrow we found out we were (surprise!)
pregnant and here I am, with puke down the front of my shirt, waking up in the
burbs, holding a smiling son in my arms. Happy Best Birthday Ever to me.
