the gentle lull of a pug snore

Clay, our Nebraska born and raised baby, ironically drifts to sleep each night to the sound of ocean waves (as emanated from a noisemaker in the shape of a stuffed sheep that attaches to his crib). If you follow our Instagram accounts, you’ll have noticed the new smashed-face dog now making an appearance. We got Plum on Sunday from the local pug rescue, and she’s already proven to be a part of the family, keeping up with Puck by shedding in every corner of our house, getting on the chairs she’s not supposed to, and licking Clay’s face any chance she can get. It’s amazing how much these dogs love the baby. But we’ve found she serves another purpose as well: white noise. Plum’s snorts and snores are capable of drowning out even the ocean waves in their volume. Sure, it sounds like the dog is having an asthma attack, but it might be the secret to this baby sleeping through the night.

Note From Eleanor: Now, however, I’m the one who can’t sleep. The dog is seriously loud.
