the course of our day, the course of our entire life, is determined by the length of a nap

Clay slept for a full hour and a half this morning, which means it's going to be a good day. A great day. The house may be a mess, dinner may not get on the table, the rain may fall, but when the baby is happy his parents are happy. But should Clay only nap for an hour - or, horror of horrors, 45 minutes - we will have a far different day. They tell you not to let your child run your life, but how can it be avoided?

Note From Scott: If I don't get my hour and a half nap, I'm also kind of a mess.
