suprisingly, you miss the noise

With Clay came chaos. For such a little person, he has big demands, and I haven’t watched a movie or eaten a meal in one sitting since he’s been born. But it sure is lonely without him.

I've been on overnights since having Clay, because of my job, but I've always been close enough that there isn't a lot of separation anxiety. I can always drive home in reasonable time if truly needed. And with my wife, pug, and baby now currently four states away because I had to return to Nebraska for work, I'm surprised at how quickly I have grown so used to the rhythms of a full household, to the point that it's quite eerie being home alone. 

I miss my little family like crazy.

Note From Eleanor: I love my baby, don’t get me wrong, but I think I'd enjoy eating meals and watching movies in one sitting for a couple of days.
