six months

Clay is six months old today. His half-birthday just happens to fall on Epiphany, the traditional Christian feast marking (in its most simple form) the simultaneous close of the Christmas season and beginning of the rest of the gospel story. Similarly, six months also brings an end to one stage and the start of another. Clay (now feasting on bananas and sweet potatoes and cereal and grabbing what he wants and vocalizing what he doesn't) seems to have left his newborn stage officially behind, yet there is still so much to come.
