my changing identity

time is slipping away
Fittingly, I didn’t get around to publishing Monday’s blog until this morning, so we’re behind by a day. And that’s actually pretty good for us. This year’s Christmas cards went out January 25th, and there are still thank yous for gifts received at Clay’s birth that need to be sent (and written). I’ve shown up hours late to appointments, and if you invite us over for dinner give us a 30-minute head start.

I used to be that woman who looked (I like to think) put together – on time at least, hair brushed. Now I’m that unshowered woman in sweats running in with the crying baby and pacifiers falling out of the diaper bag (because I can’t remember the last time I carried a purse) looking for my keys and phone and wallet - one of which I have inevitably left locked in the car. What have I become?!
