This morning began at 6:30 am, we ate, we played, Clay
napped. When he wakes at 11:00, we’ll eat, we’ll play, he’ll nap. And when he
wakes at 3:30, we’ll eat, we’ll play, and he’ll go to bed. Then tomorrow we’ll do
it all over.
I am Bill Murray, stuck in a time loop, repeating the same
day over, and over, and over. The only difference is I’m doing it to the
soundtrack of battery-powered Baby Einstein toys instead of Sonny & Cher.
Only, as in "Groundhog
Day," it never is quite the same day. There are the little changes and growths that make it
all worth it. Every day Clay gets a little stronger sitting in that Bumbo seat, one step closer to sitting up on his own.
Every day he sees something he’s never seen before. Nearly every day he learns a new
trick or discovers a new thing to make him laugh. And every day I fall just a little
more in love with him.

Note From Scott: I’m
also not as clever/witty/funny as Bill Murray, so there’s that.
