you can’t start them too young

I’ve got this dream in which Eleanor and I and our ten children are all joined together playing our various instruments in brilliant harmony for a Surfer Blood-meets-Fleet Foxes alt-folk family band experience. And while currently Clay’s a little young for learning the bass (and those nine other kids are still just a twinkle in their parents’ eyes), we’re working with what we’ve got. Monday's post was on those toys we want out of the house, but there are a few exceptions to the rule. Like Clay’s musical octopus and the mini piano. Everybody’s gotta start somewhere.

Note From Eleanor: Dream on, hon.
