babies make even the royals seem normal

His royal highness, Prince George Alexander Louis of Cambridge, is third in line to the throne of England, heir to the Prince of Wales, great-grandson of the Queen. But he still has dirty nappies.

It’s amazing how humbling a baby is. For all their titles, William and Kate will still be cleaning spit up from their shoulders (and laps and hair and shirt fronts). They’ll be awoken to crying at all hours of the night, respond to poorly-timed diaper blowouts, and struggle with the car seat straps. And they’ll be all the more fortunate for it.

“My crown is called content. A crown it is that seldom kings enjoy.” William Shakespeare, Henry VI

-Eleanor

Note From Scott: I still don’t even know who the King of England is.

Note From Eleanor: There is no King of England.
